I Won’t Be Surprised If Cameroon Starts Laying Claims To Adamawa State, Reno Omokri Speaks

Former presidential aide, Reno Omokri says he would not be surprised if Cameroon goes to the International Court of Justice ICJ, to lay claims to Adamawa State, following a recent declaration by the ruling party.

This was in reaction to the response of the All Progressives Congress, APC to the petition filed at the presidential election tribunal to challenge the declaration of President Muhammadu Buhari in the February 23rd election by the Peoples Democratic Party PDP and its candidate.

The APC had claimed in their response that Atiku, a former vice president is a foreigner and as such, can’t contest to be president, according to the constitution.

Omokri referred back to an ICJ judgement in 2012 that handed Cameroon, Bakassi after it dragged Nigeria to the court.

Omokri wrote:

Since President Buhari and the APC are claiming that Adamawa people are Cameroonians, I will not be surprised if Cameroon goes to the International Court again to lay claim to Adamawa just as they laid claim to Bakassi and won before the International Court of Justice on October 10, 2002.
