JUST IN: Gunmen Kills One, Injure 10 In Jigawa

Police in Jigawa State has confirmed that Unknown gunmen Wednesday night attacked Garin Maidawa, Abiya ward of Dutse local government.

The State Commissioner of police, CP Bala Zama Sanchi, while confirming the incident to Naijaloaded, said the gunmen killed one person and left ten injured.

He explained that the invaders were armed robbers and the command has already mobilised the officials of Special Anti Robbery Squad to be deployed to the area.

Speaking with Naijaloaded, Councillor of Abiya ward, Mr Safiyanu Abdu, said the incident happened yesterday night when people were about to sleep. He said ”some people came in with weapons, shooting sporadically at people. ”

He said one person was already dead and nine people rushed to Rasheed Shakoni Teaching Hospital for treatment.
