Allegri, Rodgers Linked To Take Over As Arsenal Expected To Sack Arteta

Mikel Arteta’s odds of being sacked as Arsenal manager have been slashed, after they were dumped out of the Europa League by Villarreal on Thursday night.

The Gunners played out a goalless draw at the Emirates, after losing 2-1 in the semi-final first leg.

Arteta had been priced at 14/1 to be the next Premier League manager to leave, but his odds have tumbled to 15/2.

Bookmakers are now pricing up a potential replacements for Arteta.

Former Juventus manager, Massimiliano Allegri, is favorite to take over, with Betfred offering odds of 13/5 for the Italian.

Leicester City boss, Brendan Rodgers, is priced at 3/1.

Arsenal legends Patrick Vieira and Thierry Henry are 10/1 and 22/1 respectively.
