Rivers State Government has agreed a partnership with Spanish giants, Real Madrid to arrange an academy in Port Harcourt.

Governor Nyesom Wike, who made the announcement on Tuesday, stated the academy would empower the youths within the oil-rich state.

“We have young men who want to be coaches, who will be trained in Spain (going by this agreement),” RatingNigeria quoted him as saying.

“We have our younger girls and boys who wish to go and play soccer in Spain.

“This partnership is with the most effective membership on this planet and it’s within the curiosity of all,” he added.

President of the Confederation of African Football Ahmad is anticipated to put the inspiration stone for the academy on May 28.

The occasion shall be celebrated with a world pleasant between World Cup-bound Nigeria and DR Congo similar day in Port Harcourt.
