“Nigerians Are Not The Biggest Scammers But Are The Face Of It” – Naira Marley
Controversial rapper, Naira Marley has shared his thoughts on how Nigerians have been unduly generalized as ‘fraudsters’ globally.
Speaking in a documentary conducted by international publication, Vice Uk, the rapper noted Nigerians are not even the biggest scammers in the world and they are not even in the top 100.
Naira Marley, however, stated that Nigerians are just the face of cyber crime and internet fraud.
We recalls that the rapper was arrested by the EFCC back in May 2019, alongside his colleague, Zlatan Ibile,and other men over internet fraud.
The ‘Soapy’ crooner explained that he is free to say whatever he wants in the UK but it is not possible in Nigeria because he could get into trouble. The rapper then cited how he got arrested after he had an Instagram live session where he defended internet fraudsters and he implored Nigerians to pray for them.
