Omah Lay & Tems regain freedom after arrest in Uganda

Good news is that Nigerian singers Omah Lay and Tems have regained their freedom after they were arrested in Uganda.

Over the past weekend, Omah Lay and Tems were in Uganda for a show and were later arrested after a successful outing. One of the reasons behind their arrest was that they breached Covid-19 regulations on public gatherings and social distancing.

Shortly after their arrest, Omah Lay and Tems were charged to court for breaking the regulations and attempting to spread the dreaded Covid-19.

After so much outrage by Nigerians musicians and fans of the embattled singers, they have finally regained their freedom.

Fellow colleagues like Davido, Burna Boy, Wizkid, Simi, Yemi Alade, Peter Okoye all called for the release of Omah Lay and Tems as their visas were approved for work before even flying into the country.

Ugandan musician Bebe Cool who is believed to have worked closely with the government announced that the Nigerian artistes are free.

Bebe Cool tweeted ‘Great news, they are free’. He also shared a video of the Nigerian artistes driven out of their supposed custody.
