2Baba to be Honoured by OAU
Veteran Nigerian artiste, Innocent Idibia, popularly known by his stage name – 2Baba, is to be honoured by Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife.
OAU’s Department of Music will bestow the legendary musician with an award of the Fellow of the School of Music on Wednesday, 20 March 2019.
The 43-year-old superstar took to his Instagram page Monday to share the news with his over 4 million followers.
He wrote:
“The great people of OAU will on Wednesday, confer on me the award of the fellow of the school of music. I will also be delivering a public lecture. Industry meets Academia.
Grateful for the honour.”

The award and lecture is being organised to honour the longevity of 2face Idibia in the Nigerian music scene.
Following the split of his former band Plantashun Boiz in 2003, Tuface has gone on to become one of the greatest artistic exports on the African continent.
