Abuja Confirms 1 New Coronavirus Case As Total Number In Country Hits 873



The Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) on Thursday confirmed one new case of COVID-19.
Recall that the NCDC on Wednesday night confirmed that Nigeria had recorded ninety-one new cases of Coronavirus, bringing the total number in the country to 873.
The NCDC had said it recorded 74 in Lagos, 5 in Katsina, 4 in Ogun, 2 in Delta, 2 in Edo, 1 in Kwara, 1 in Oyo, 1 in FCT, and one in Adamawa State.
The FCTA in a post shared on its Twitter handle confirmed that the total number of active cases remained 81.
The tweet read:
”One new Case IN THE FCT.
“Summary of #COVID19FCT as at 11:25pm, 22nd April, 2020.
“Total number of confirmed cases: 119, total number of active cases: 81, total discharged: 35 and 3 deaths recorded.”
FCTA warned Abuja residents to continue to stay home in order to stay safe.
