DON’T LEAVE! Barcelona Star Coutinho Ordered To Snub Chelsea & Others
Barcelona have reportedly offered Philippe Coutinho to a host of Premier League clubs with a view of making a quick summer sale.
However, Bayern Munich midfielder Thiago has urged the Brazilian to make his current loan deal permanent.
Coutinho has struggled to find his top form since his £142million move to the Nou Camp from Liverpool in January 2018.
The 27-year-old spent this season on loan with Bayern Munich and he has scored eight goals in 15 Bundesliga starts.
However, the German giants are not expected to activate the £100m optional purchase clause which was included in the contract.
That has opened the door for Chelsea and Newcastle to register their interest in the midfielder.
But Thiago hopes Coutinho will remain at the Allianz Arena beyond the current campaign.
“I know him well. He’s very good,” Thiago told La Vanguardia. “I’ve seen him play since he was 12 years old.
“I played futsal against him in Brazil and he loved it. He doesn’t think he lacks anything.
“I love playing with high-level footballers and he is a phenomenon. He is a spectacular guy, super hard-working, with an unbeatable technique and incredible definition.
“Players go through good and not so good moments and he is giving us a lot. We hope to have him next year too.”
