FOOTBALL UPDATE! See What Juventus Must Do To Make Chelsea Boss Sarri Their New Manager
Juventus will be forced to pay up if they want to make Maurizio Sarri their next manager, as Chelsea are not ready to sack the Italian whether or not he wins the Europa League final, ESPN reports.
Sarri’s future remains uncertain despite clinching a Champions League spot in his first season.
He has been linked with a return to Serie A, with Juve and Roma interested in the former Napoli boss.
It is believed that Chelsea are prepared to negotiate a compensation package with any interested club if Sarri makes it clear that he wants to leave.
However, they have no to dismiss him even if he fails to win a first piece of major silverware against Arsenal in Baku next week.
Sarri was appointed Chelsea head coach on a two-year contract with an option for a third, worth around £5million per year last summer.
Any interested club would be required to meet this figure in order to release him early.
