Inciting Comments: Oshiomhole Should Have Been In Prison By Now – Afenifere
Pan Yoruba socio-political organisation, Afenifere, on Friday berated the Presidency for turning a blind eye to Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, National Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) over the inciting comments he made on the Supreme Court ruling on Bayelsa State Governorship Election.
Speaking in a chat with DAILY INDEPENDENT, Yinka Odumakin said Oshiomhole’s pronouncement that no governor will be sworn in in Bayelsa state led to the arson and violence that took place in some parts of the state following the Supreme Court ruling.
According to him, in saner climes, Oshiomhole should have been behind bars by now.
Obviously, the presidency does not call any errant APC members to order, otherwise, s person Adams Oshiomhole should have been behind bars by now for the inflammatory, inciting comments that led to arson in Bayelsa state”.
“The Supreme Court gave judgment and he is saying nobody will be sworn in in the state and till now he is still gallivanting all over the place. It is only in Nigeria that such a thing like this can happen,” Afenifere said.
