Jose Mourinho Fighting For His Job After Tottenham Defeated Man United 3 – 0 At Old Trafford
Manchester United manager, Jose Mourinho, is fighting to save his job after the crisis at the club deepened with another shambolic defeat, the UK Mirror reports.
United were beaten 3-0 by Tottenham, thanks to three second-half goals from Harry Kane and Lucas Moura (twice).
Tottenham fans taunted Mourinho with chants of “you’re getting sacked in the morning”, after Mauricio Pochettino’s side piled the pressure on the under-fire United boss.
Mourinho needed a win after United’s 3-2 defeat to Brighton, but watched on as his side lost for the second game running.
United have now lost two of their opening three Premier League fixtures, for the first time since the 1992/1993 season.
Mourinho now faces a battle to prove he is the man to turn around their fortunes. The Portuguese is already at odds with United executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward, over the latter’s failure to deliver all the transfer targets he identified this summer.
Woodward sat stoney-faced in the United directors’ box, as the team side unravelled before him. The Old Trafford supremo faces a tough decision over what to do to halt the current slide.
