“Justice Will Be Served” – Iyabo Ojo Says As Baba Ijesha Is Granted Bail
According to the actress, she will keep fighting till justice is served to the victim.
Nigerian actress, Iyabo Ojo has reacted after it was reported that her colleague, Baba Ijesha was granted bail.
The popular Yoruba actor has been in police custody since April for allegedly defiling the foster daughter of comedian, Princess.
Ijesha was granted bail yesterday May 17, at the State Criminal Investigation Department SCID Panti on health grounds by a magistrate.
However, Baba Ijesha is yet to be released as bail condition which includes that he must have two sureties. Also, the bail is placed at N500, 000 in bond.
His lawyer, Adesina Ogunlana, is working on perfecting his bailing condition as one of the sureties must be a Level 10 Public officer while the second surety must be a relation of the actor.
In response, Iyabo said in a video that Nigerians are the country’s problems, and that’s why the country hasn’t progressed.
”I used to think the government was our problem. I have come to understand that we are our own problem not the government.
”The way we are wired, the way we think, it’s always all about us. Oh! She is not your child, why are pained about it? That’s the same problem we have in Nigeria.
”When someone like that gets to a place of power, they think about themselves and their people.
”We are the problem of Nigeria, the day we begin to take up issues that do not concern us and treat it like it is our own problem, Nigeria will begin to get better.
”I am that mother that will stand for that girl till the end. I am not backing down, justice will be served.”
