LAUTECH: Oyo State Set To Pay Off Osun State To Completely Own The Institution

We think the problems of Ladoke Akintola University (LAUTECH) is about to fully come to an end as Oyo State Government is about to break tiles with the Osun State Government over the joint ownership and management of the School.
SOME FACTS ABOUT LAUTECH OWNERSHIP
1. The institution is owned by Oyo and Osun state.
2. The institution salary is been paid by the 2 States using this formula ➺ Jan to June is paid by Oyo while July to Dec is paid by Osun.
3. In 2010, during the tenure of Adebayo Alao-Akala as Oyo Governor and that of Olagunsoye Oyinlola as Osun Governor, both Governors already agreed to part ways but up till today, nothing has been done as regards the issue.
GOV. SEYI MAKINDE IS IN TALK WITH OSUN GOVERNOR
Governor Seyi Makinde recently had his 100 Days in Office on Sept. 5, 2019, and while speaking to the good people of Oyo State, he made it known that he’s already in talks with Osun State Governor Adegboyega Oyetola as regards the issue of LAUTECH and very soon something great will happen.
According to the Governor, LAUTECH is supposed to commence their exam very soon but it seems that won’t be possible as the managements are about to go on strike over the non-payment of salary owed by the Osun state.
WHAT SEYI MAKINDE PLAN TO DO
Well, Governor Seyi Makinde has already promised to get the debt owed by Osun State Government sorted so as to enable the student to have their exam written without any Strike.
He, however, promised that he would do everything possible to get LAUTECH owned 100% by Oyo so as to achieve smooth running of the school.
