Meet Nigerian Athlete, Raymond Ekevwo The Newly Crowned Fastest Man In Africa

A Nigerian athlete has just been crowned the fastest man in Africa.

His name is Raymond Ekevwo and he secured this title with a 9.96s finish in the men’s 100m at the 2019 All African Games in Morocco.

Raymond’s fast finish in the race set several records — becoming the fastest in the continent and helping Nigeria win a Gold Medal.

This marks the first win for the country in the 100m event since 2007 when Nigerian sprint legend Olusoji Fasuba achieved this feat.
