Minimum Wage: NLC Commends Senate, Demands For Implementation Before Workers Day

The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) has commended the Senate for the approval of the new N30,000 minimum wage.

Following months of negotiations, Senators finally approved the new minimum wage after hearing the recommendations of the Minimum wage Committee on Tuesday.

NLC praised the efforts of the senators in ensuring that the lives of Nigerians are improved upon by approving a new minimum wage. NLC also urged President Muhammadu Buhari to hasten up to sign the bill into law.

NLC revealed that despite the approval, the struggle still remains energized until the implementation of a new minimum wage before the celebration of workers day.
