Nicki Minaj Drops Surprise Album Featuring Drake, Lil Wayne & More

Nicki Minaj has had a very silent couple of years when it comes to the music. Her last album release, “Queen” was way back in 2018.

Since her last release, she’s retired from the music, got married and had a baby. A whole lot has happened in the industry too.

For example, Drake has been named “Artist of the Decade,” she (Nicki Minaj) got her first number one on the billboard too, and although unrelated, The Weekndgot snubbed by the Grammy’s.

During the week, Nicki Minaj returned and was teasing fans with photos all over social media, which got people talking. No one could guess she was going to drop new music though.

Anyway, she’s just released a new mixtape, called Beam Me Up Scotty and it’s available on all streaming platforms. The mixtape which is full of songs she did in 2009 that were never released online, has a number of new songs.

The most impressive cut from the album is perhaps, “Seeing Green” which features her former label boss, Lil Wayne and label mate, Drake.

The song which has quickly ran up the charts in the US, has the three rappers taking turns to rap on a gritty hiphop beat.

Based on the lyrics, it was definitely recorded this year. And it’s a bop, for sure. The whole album is definitely worth checking out!
