Niger State Governor Appoints Former NAN Staff, SSA Media Relations, Strategy
Niger State Governor, Abubakar Sani Bello has approved the appointment of a former staff of the News Agency of Nigeria, NAN, Alhaji Tanko Dada as Senior Special Assistant, SSA, Media Relations and Strategy.
The appointment letter signed by the Secretary to the State Government, SSG, Alhaji Ahmed Ibrahim Matane said the appointment was with immediate effect.
The SSG urged the newly political appointee to work assiduously to justify the confidence reposed in him for the betterment of the entire State.
The former NAN staff, a veteran journalist is to report to the office of the Commissioner for Information and Strategy in the Ministry who is to monitor his activities as required.
Before his appointment, Tanko Dada was a one-time Director General (DG) Public Affairs to the immediate past governor, Muazu Babangida Aliyu.
It would be recalled that last month, the immediate past Niger Council Chairman of Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, Comrade Mohammad Mohammad of the state-owned Newsline Newspaper was also appointed as Governor Bello’s SSA, Information and Strategy.
Dada retired as an Assistant Editor-In-Chief News Agency of Nigeria, NAN, after 35 years of service.
