Just in: President Buhari’s Nominees For Federal Appointments Confirms By Senate

The newly appointed Executive Secretary of National Human Rights Commission (NHRC), Anthony Ojukwu, in addition to the Chairman of the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC), James Momoh, had been on Tuesday confirmed by the Nigerian Senate.


According to PREMIUM Times, Ojukwu’s confirmation was made after the Senate thought of a report from the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Judiciary, Human Rights and Legal Matters, David Umaru (APC, Niger East).

While Momoh’s affirmation was made after contemplating a report learn by the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Power, Steel Development and Metallurgy, Eyinnaya Abaribe (PDP, Abia South).

Recall that President Muhammadu Buhari had in December 2017, wrote to the Senate to request the confirmation of the appointments.
