Robber Lures Uber Driver With Suya To Steal His Car

A mother of four, Euphemia Ugwuoke, has been arrested for allegedly aiding several suspected criminals to sedate and dispossess their victims of their cars and valuables through a sedative known as Ativan.

She was picked up after the police arrested suspected car snatchers, Moses Ugwu, Kingsley Iwueze and the receiver of the stolen cars, Onyebuchi Odoh, in Lagos.

According to their latest victim, Clifford Echereode, an Uber driver, the suspects drugged and stole his car in Festac, Lagos State, on May 22, 2019, after they booked a ride and offered him a laced suya which made him sleep off.

During interrogation, the suspects revealed that they normally get their supplies from Euphemia, who was granted bail on September 21, 2017, after spending 3 years in prison, awaiting trial over a similar offense.
