Saul Niguez reveals what number he will be wearing at Chelsea

Chelsea completed the move to sign Saul Niguezfrom Atletico Madrid last night, after a very dramatic deadline day.

The move was in doubt right at the last minute when clubs were waiting for the dominoes to fall for other deals. That is the risk you take by leaving things until the last minute, but Saul to Chelsea DID get done and what a great player the club have got themselves.

He arrives on a season-long loan deal with an option to buy, and he will be hoping to become a key player at the club.

Number options are a little few and far between, but with Mateo Kovacic being given the 8 this season, there is one of Saul’s favourite numbers available – the number 17!

“It’s a number I had at Atletico Madrid, it’s a number I like. I had it at Atletico. I had it in my early days.” – Saul Niguez on wearing the 17 at Chelsea.
