SNUB! Read How Neymar Turned Down A Big Money Move To Man United To Remain At PSG
After one of the biggest transfer sagas in years gone by, Neymar is officially staying at Paris Saint-Germain.
That’s until January at least, but nonetheless the Brazilian is not too happy about it.
He wanted to return to Barcelona and has been in contact with Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez about a reunion in Catalonia.
Understandably, PSG were not keen on selling him for below their valuation and Barca were unable to come up with a suitable offer.
Neymar created special memories at Barcelona, winning eight trophies in four years, before he decided to move to France in a deal that made him the most expensive footballer of all-time.
But after just two years in Paris, Neymar has had enough and is now patiently waiting for the chance to wave goodbye.
Guillem Balague has revealed how things could have been much different for Neymar when he left Barcelona in 2017.
“No Premier League club made an approach [this summer] , although Manchester United had asked about the player when he was at Barcelona with a buyout clause of 190m euros (£172m),” he wrote in his column for BBC Sport.
“Neymar decided against the move.”
