Tonto Dikeh’s Ex Husband Sues Her For N500 Million For Ruining His Political Career

Olakunle Churchill’s relationship with actress Tonto Dikeh seemingly started off as a fairytale romance when they first started dating.

The duo began dating in 2014 with the screen star teasing fans about the identity of her lover whom she dubbed Mr X.

At the time, Tonto constantly flaunted expensive gifts which she attributed to Mr X’s generosity and love for her. In 2015, after much hiding away from the public, Tonto unveiled Churchill as Mr X.

The duo got married on August 25 of 2015 but things came to an end in 2017. Their separation and subsequent divorce was a messy one as they accused each other of several things and called each other unprintable names.

Although they share a son King Andre from their failed union, the former lovers continue to remain cold towards each other with occasional jabs from either party at the other.

Churchill is now suing Tonto over the videos she released in 2019 on her YouTube channel. In the said video, the Rivers state indigene slammed her ex-husband as a cheat and alleged that he is an internet fraudster as well as a ritualist.

These allegations have prompted Churchill to slam her with a N500 million lawsuit. According to him, her ‘malicious statements’ ruined his political ambition, which he says she is aware of. He then went on to say that the actress should pay the sum of N500M for the general damages incurred by him over the malicious and false publications.

In the lawsuit notice which has him as the 1st claimant and Big Church Foundation as the second claimant, Churchill stated that the allegations are baseless and sponsored to tarnish and damage his image and political ambition.

As of the time of this publication, the outspoken Tonto is yet to respond to her ex-husband’s lawsuit.

Recently, Tonto advised her fans to avoid relatives who hate and disrespect their parents.

Her Instagram post read in part:

She wrote:

“Avoid relatives that hate your mom, and disrespect her. The truth is that if they can’t respect your own mother who you hold in high regard, their regard for you is superficial and fake.

“Anyone who vehemently dislikes you shouldn’t be anywhere close to your children. This life is deep and the heart of men is malignant.”
