Wizkid

Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun popularly known as Wizkid is a Nigerian singer and songwriter born in Surulere, Lagos.

At 11 years old Wizkid began singing in the church choir. He continued his music path in secondary school. Wizkid attended Ijebu Ode Grammar School, Ogun State.

Wizkid started his higher education at Lagos State University, but in the second year, he transferred to Lead City University. Wizkid was in 200 level when he dropped out because of his music career.

Superstar, the star’s debut studio album, was released in 2009. In 2010, the single “Holla at Your Boy” was released. It was the pinnacle of his musical career at the time.

Wizkid has become one of the most influential artists in Nigeria and has been making waves in the music industry. He broke several records with his recently released project, “Made In Lagos” featuring Fast-rising Nigerian female artist, Tems.

He established his own record label “Starboy Records” in 2013 shortly after parting ways with “Empire Mates Entertainment”.

2Baba

Innocent Ujah Idibia known by his stage name 2Baba is a talented Nigerian singer and songwriter.

He attended Mount Saint Gabriel’s Secondary School in Makurdi, Benue State. Tuface enrolled at the Institute of Management & Technology, Enugu (IMT), where he did his preliminary National Diploma course in Business Administration and management.

While attending IMT, Idibia performed at school-organized shows and parties, as well as other regional schools such as the University of Nigeria and Enugu State University of Science & Technology.

He eventually dropped out of school to pursue his music career. In 2016, he officially changed his name from Tuface to 2Baba.

2Baba has been consistent in the Nigerian music industry for the past two decades and he’s still proving himself relevant in the industry.

He is also one of the most awarded Nigerian artists in the music industry.

Olamide

Olamide Gbenga Adedeji known professionally as Olamide is a Nigerian singer and songwriter.

Olamide started his career when he released the debut single, “Eni Duro,” in 2010. In the same year, he performed at The Hip Hop World Awards.

He studied mass communication at Tai Solarin University but dropped out due to financial problems.

Olamide is an OG in the Nigerian music industry and has been giving us hits back to back for the past decade.

His record label, YBNL has produced lots of talented artists that have been doing well in the music industry.

He is a good example of the saying “it doesn’t matter where you’re from, what really matters is where you’re going to and how determined you are to get there”.

He recently signed a joint deal with American music distribution and record label Empire Distribution in February 2020.

9ice

Alexander Abolore Adegbola Akande popularly known as 9ice is a Nigerian singer, songwriter, and dancer.

He is known for his powerful use of the Yoruba language in his music as well as his proverbial lyrics and unique style of delivery.

9ice completed his primary school education at Abule Okuta Primary School in Bariga, Lagos State, and obtained his First School Leaving Certificate.

After finishing primary school, 9ice went on to CMS Grammar School in Bariga, where he obtained his West African School Certificate.

After finishing secondary school, 9ice enrolled in Lagos State University (LASU) to pursue a degree in law.

Later, he dropped out of his law course at Lagos State University to focus on his music career.

9ice has been consistent in the Nigerian music industry and has not relented. He is also one of the Nigerian artists that have the highest number of albums.

He founded the record label, “Alapomeji Ancestral Records” in 2008 after he left “Edge records“.

Lil Kesh

Keshinro Ololade professionally known as Lil Kesh is a Nigerian singer, rapper, and songwriter.

He was a linguistic student at the University of Ibadan before leaving school to concentrate on music.

He began his musical career in 2012 when he started rapping among his colleagues in Bariga. Shortly after, he released his debut single, “Lyrically“. The song went viral within Nigerian universities.

Lil Kesh has dropped hit songs since he came to the limelight and is not thinking of stopping anytime soon.

The talented rapper left YBNL in 2016 to create his own record label “YAGI“.
