The FCT Police Command has confirmed the arrest of 60 members of the Islamic Movement of Nigeria (IMN) throughout its alleged violent protest on Monday in Abuja.
The group had on Monday shut down the Federal Secretariat advanced in Abuja over the continued detention of the chief of the sect, Sheikh Ibraheem El-Zakzaky since 2016.
The spokesman of the police within the FCT, DSP Anjuguri Manzah confirmed the arrest to newsmen in an interview on Tuesday on the Garki Hospital whereas visiting the 2 personnel of the command, who sustained assorted diploma of accidents whereas dispersing the protesters.
“The personnel are SP Linus Ogah, who had bruises on his face and will hardly converse or open his eyes, and Insp. Mary Ameh, who sustained damage in one among her arms.
