“Why Chelsea Drew 0 – 0 With West Ham” – Sarri Speaks

Chelsea boss, Maurizio Sarri, has revealed why his side recorded a 0-0 draw with West Ham at the London Stadium on Sunday.

It was a frustrating afternoon for Sarri’s men who pushed the Hammers until the final whistle but could not find back of the net.

West Ham even missed a golden chance to earn a shock victory when Andriy Yarmolenko headed wide from close range in the final 10 minutes.

The Italian manager admitted it was “impossible to win every match.”

“I don’t know where the statistics we had seven opportunities to three,” Sarri told his post match press conference.

“They (West Ham) are a good team, now with confidence when they won away at Everton. So maybe we could have done better in the last 25 minutes of the first half.

“Then we have played well in the second half, and very well in the last 25 minutes. It is impossible to win every match.

“I don’t know (whether the Europa League affected Chelsea’s display). I don’t think so. In this period I don’t think so.

“After seven matches it is difficult in March and April, not now. I don’t know why in England with the match away you can’t ask for a Monday night. In Italy it is normal.”
